Recap of the Keller Track Meet

This past Thursday, March 24, eight teams raced for pace and top three. The runners got ready, spreading out on the waterfall, as the gun went off the cameraman got set to follow the lead. This past track meet was a competition for speed, and records as runners work to beat past times.
In the Boys Varsity 800 meter, Brandon Bott PRs
(Personal Record) with 2:09.47, and George Witman 2:21.73, while Boys Jv 800 meter was a successful race for Wallace Bullock and Johnathan Lee, both PRs at 2:20..19, and 2:22.49. As 1600 Varsity runners take off, Aaron Sandavol makes his way through the racers, pushing past his PR, making 4:38.71. Meanwhile in the Jv 1600, Logan Large breaks 5 with an ending PR time of 4:58.56, Logan Doner coming in after him with a PR of 5:10. As the 3200 runners got ready, Landon Vaughan took a breath, placing his feet on the starting line, the end of the 2miles already in sight. Successfully he ended the race with a PR of 10.21.00, Brandon Bott sprinting to the finish after him, hitting a PR of 10:32.00. As for the boys Jv 3200, Jack Eichelberger PRs with a time of 10:33.06. Lastly, the Open boys 1600 starts, ends with Ethan D’Souza and Jose Garcia PRs of 5:33.00 and 6:40.12.
In the Girls Jv 800 meter, Hannah Rickman, going into the race with the hope for speed, ended with a PR of 2:50.41. The Girls Varsity 1600 meter finishes with a PR from Arya Diggikar with 5:35.03. After, Cooper Seely PRs with 6:22.86 during the Girls Jv 1600 meter. In addition, Addison Murray also breaks her personal record with 6:47.38 during the same race. Samantha Vo pushed through her race and PRs with 14:28.91 during the Girls Jv 3200 meter. Lahak Karim came in after with a successful new PR of 15:29.03.
As the runners prepare for the next meet, the coaches are ready to see them do their best and push through every step to achieve what they came there to do. The next race is happening this Friday at Lovejoy.
