Over the past couple of weeks, the Colleyville Heritage Varsity Boys Soccer team has been working hard to be the best of the best. Today, the team will play Grapevine high school for the second time after losing to them 0-2 in the previous game. Overall, all three teams for Colleyville Heritage Boys Soccer are doing well this year, which follows the trend of all the previous years.

Varsity Boys Soccer has had a really good season so far over the past couple of months. So far, the team has won thirteen games, tied once, and lost twice over the course of the season. Just last week, Colleyville Heritage played the Birdville Hawks and won 4-3. Some other notable wins are against Denton Ryan (4-3), Richland High (5-1), Lake Dallas (4-0).

Still this year, Colleyville Heritages JV2 Boys team is undefeated in all of the games that they have played so far in the district, putting them first in the district all in all. JV1, also doing well this year, has won several games and tied almost all the rest.

In the nation, our varsity soccer team is placed at the #135th position for all high school soccer teams, which in general is a very good place to be put at. In our state, they are currently ranked at 18th overall, which is worse than previous years but not by much as 18th is still extremely high overall. In the Texas Division 5A, they are currently ranked 4th. But, in the Region, CHHS Varsity Soccer is ranked 8th overall, which is incredibly impressive.

CHHS Boys Varsity Soccer is coached by Warren Cottle, who was previously the Head Coach for Midland Highschool’s soccer program before moving to CHHS. Coach Cottle also was the head coach for the West Texas Shockers, which is a semi-professional team. Cottle also served as the vice president, president, and past president of the Texas Administration of Soccer Coaches Organization. The Varsity Soccer team is also coached by Assistant Coach Ryan Evans.

The CHHS boys soccer teams encourage you to come watch them play tonight against Grapevine in support of the team and the rest of the high school in general. Please come show your support for the boys tonight @7:30 at Mustang Panther Stadium for a very cold, but very entertaining game.
